Traveling Teddy
Look where Avery went with her family and Traveling Teddy! Camping was an adventure that K2 loved hearing about. Avery found fossils on her trip and shared details of the big find with her fellow scientists. Suddenly everyone started to ask, "Where do fossils come from?"

Out running Kinder
Everyone knows it's hard keeping up with 5- and 6-year olds but there's someone at Lakeside who can run circles around K2. Mrs. Pam Connor, our beloved office aide, ran in the Chicago marathon and brought her medal and stories to share.
Taking Care of Nature
With our continued lack of rain, we decided to give a little TLC in the form of H2O to this young tree on our playground!

Terrific Tuesday
How about this Terrific Tuesday? It started with a trip to the library and this silly book read by Mrs. Bredberg. Then technology teacher Mrs. Sims showed our class the iPad cart and taught a life lesson. After lunch, a surprise visitor with food expertise dropped in to talk about how lots of goddies got in K2 lunchboxes. Learning COULD NOT be more action packed or fun!!
"What are all those wires?", Mrs. Sims was asked. Our Lakeside technology teacher shows the back of the iPad cart to these excited learners. Then, after a lesson on using the camera app, each student was given their own device to practice takings pictures. Mrs. Keith asked this techie task force to take a picture of a NUMBER.
