Math Fun

Pumpkins and scarecrows can make for great math activities! And counting to 100 is always more fun with a partner.

Five Senses

After reading Chicka Chicka Boom

Boom and having literacy fun with the coconut tree, we explored a coconut in science!

Who wants to taste it?

Picture Day at Lakeside

It's a tradition as old as anyone can remember: PICTURE DAY. I still have my 91-year-old mom's first grade school picture. Lots of changes since then, but we still come dressed to impress and hear the word, "SMILE".

Special Friends Day

Grandmas, grandpas, aunts, moms, dads and neighbors made our day special when they visited Lakeside.

Class of 2028

New school year = new friends! And these fresh faced learners have jumped right into the fun. Look what these kindergarten students are doing in K2.

Reading quietly is part of our daily routine. We call this READ TO SELF.

Summer Reading Camp

School's out!  But the learning never stops. At Mrs. Keith's summer Reading Camp, there's lots to do, friends to read with in the hammock, and Lakeside teachers make special appearances as "Mystery Reader".

Mrs. Timmerman is Monday's MYSTERY READER.

Mrs. Todd surprises us on Tuesday!

Look who visits on Wednesday, just back from a vacation in Mexico. Mrs. Narez told us about swimming with sea turtles!

No one suspected Mr. Keith until they heard the clue: "Today's Mystery Reader is not a Lakeside teacher".

Thursday campers!

And Friday fun takes on new meaning when Mrs. Conn is the Mystery Reader. And our last day brings a huge payoff in the pool and on the fishing line for campers who met their reading stretch goal!

KEEP READING ALL SUMMER LONG!
